Arkheron Day 1 Survival Guide:
How to Conquer the Lower Floors

By Arkheron Research Team • Updated for Early Access 1.0 • 6 min read

Quick Executive Summary:

  • 1. Watch the Drop Heat Map before committing your squad's spawn point.
  • 2. Always secure Beacons first—they open the floor ascension gates and enable teammate revives.
  • 3. Don't hoard Fragments: upgrade your core weapon to Tier 2 (1,000 Fragments) at the first Summon Shrine.
  • 4. Dead teammates cannot ascend loot—surviving members must carry the run.

1. Understanding the Drop Phase

In Ascension mode, you drop anywhere across the expansive lower floor. In Early Access 1.0, the heat spots on the map reveal the moment you hold to commit, allowing you to see exactly where other squads are choosing to land in real time.

Beginner Tip: If you are new to twin-stick free-aim combat, steer clear of the central cluster. Land near outer rooms where minion packs can be farmed safely for initial Fragments without being third-partied by experienced squads.

2. The Beacon Objective System

The Tower is not a simple battle royale where you can hide in a corner until the final circle. Each floor is on a strict timer. To ascend to Floor 2 and Floor 3, your team must contest and capture Beacons.

  • Contesting: Standing within the beacon circle ticks down capture progress. If a rival squad enters, progress halts until one squad is eliminated or displaced.
  • Beacon Revivals: If a teammate falls, you can revive them at an active Beacon. In Patch 1.0, revived players spread out automatically instead of stacking, reducing vulnerability to AoE ambush wipes.

3. Fragment Economy & Summon Shrines

Fragments are the lifeblood of match progression. You collect them by defeating Minions, felling Tormentors, opening chests, or looting fallen enemies.

Summon Shrine Priority List:
Primary Weapon Upgrade (1,000 Fragments): Enhances weapon combo damage and reduces ability cooldowns significantly.
Healing Ward (200 Fragments): Deploys a 50 HP totem healing 30 HP/s to squad members in an 8m circle.
Fortitude Shard (150 Fragments): Grants 125 immediate blue shield health to survive burst ambushes.

4. Tormentor Awareness: Mind the Sight Cones

Starting in Patch 1.0, Elite Tormentors can detect players from behind. Flanking without stealth abilities will draw immediate aggro. When pulling high-value purple doors or chests, designate one teammate to watch the perimeter for enemy squads while the other two quickly burst the Tormentor.

5. What to Do Between Matches: The Training Grounds

Don't sit idle in queue! Use the new Training While Queuing feature. You can jump directly into the training room, practice your 3-hit Boosted Dodge chains (3m → 4.5m → 6m), visit the Well of Regrets to test lifesteal mechanics, or chat with Reset Randy to try different item combinations before your match pops.
